We did teach some pretty sweet lessons!

Monday, July 10, 2017

Hey Mom!

That sounds like youve had a pretty eventful (and hot) week! Im glad everyone has been staying safe though! And a very happy anniversary to grandma and grandpa today! πŸ˜€ Are they going up to Morro Bay?

This week was pretty good here. (even though we didn’t get to see any fireworks πŸ˜› ) When the weather was reall crazy, we were in a series of lessons, so we didn’t Β even notice anything was up lol. But we did teach some pretty sweet lessons! And we have 5 people on date for baptism now! πŸ™‚ And the B. family are really excited for their baptism! It’s gonna be awesome! Our teaching pool is steadily growing as always. It’s really hard to see everyone in a week! We have to do A LOT of running around and double booking appointments. Another set of missionaries here would be nice, but we like the work! On another note, I’m fairly certain that I’m going to be moving out of Crawfordsville this transfer, because there are 31 missionaries coming out who need trainers, and most of the mission leadership is going home, so I’m either going to train again or something else. President told Hansen he is going to train so that is pretty cool! And we get fed every now and then. New rule changes have made it difficult for a lot of people to feed us. But we survive! πŸ™‚ That’s awesome that Jacob is in a new area! Who’d have thought he’d serve the end of his mission in California? lol. It sounds like a cool place though!

1. The last miracle I witnessed was seeing a person who had serious doubts about the church change their attitudes and views and want to feel the spirit again.

2. We do all kinds of service! And we do lots for everyone, from lawn mowing, to moving, to making dinner, to clearing tree debris. Service is a great way to find and teach people who would be otherwise unreceptive πŸ™‚

3. Odd sayings in my area? Well, not really anything… maybe saying sweep the floor and meaning vacuum?

4. I had so many favorite summer activities growing up! I really liked playing games with grandma and grandpa, like Rummykub and also just doing fun little things here and there. πŸ™‚

I love you and hope you have a good week! BYE!

  1. Elder Norris,

you are now one of the leaders on your mission – Your seasoned skills will be look at by the new missionaries – they are green, but your teaching them through your example is the fertilizer that will help them grow
